If you are looking for a little more excitement, North Litchfield Beach is less than 30 minutes away from the bright lights and excitement of Myrtle Beach. You can shop or dance the night away at Broadway at the Beach, take in a show at the Carolina Opry, Imax, or Legends, or just cruise the famous “Ocean Drive Strip.” Kids will flip for the water parks and Alligator Adventure.

Murrel’s Inlet, the seafood capital of South Carolina, is only 10 minutes away and offers over 60 amazing restaurants, fishing, parasailing, and crabbing. The quaint, seaport city of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina, is a 20 minute drive. There you can tour a rice plantation and learn about South Carolina’s rich history.

Brookgreen Gardens (less than two miles away), one of the top five botanical gardens in the US, has sculptures, gardens, nature walks, alligator viewing, a mini zoo, and a riverboat ride. The 65 mile drive to beautiful Charleston is well worth the effort! There you can tour the city in a carriage and stroll through the outdoor Market. The New York Times, named Charleston as the new "hot spot" for fine dining, so be sure to take time for a delicious seafood dinner.
